WHO WE SERVE
Pathways of Nevada provides Specialized Foster Care Services, to meet the needs of abused and neglected children, youth and families in Nevada by the provision of safe, healthy and therapeutic Specialized Foster Care Services. Pathways of Nevada provides Specialized Foster Care Services to children and youth that are unable to live with their own families, as a result of abuse or neglect or are going through a transitional period from residential care as partof the process of returning home to family and community. Pathways of Nevada Specialized Foster Care Services are specifically designed to accommodate the needs of eligible Sibling Groups and their families, and children and youth who are separated from their siblings in care and may be at risk for failure or have failed in regular foster home.
Pathways of Nevada provides Specialized Foster Care Services that are targeted to children who meet the following criteria:
(a) Siblings at risk for placement in separate foster homes including higher level of care homes but are appropriate for placement in a Sibling Specialized Foster Care Home; or
(b) Have challenging behavioral, and or emotional problems; and
(c) Require, and would optimally benefit from the Behavioral Health Services and supervision provided in Specialized foster home setting.
Pathways of Nevada provides Specialized Foster Care Services targeted to siblings, children and youth who also meet one of the following criteria:
(a) Have successfully completed Treatment Foster Care Services and would benefit from reunification with siblings as indicated by the treatment team; or
(b) Require the initiation or continuity of the treatment and support of the specialized foster family to secure or maintain therapeutic gains; or
(c) Require this treatment modality as an appropriate entry-level service from which the sibling group, child and youth will optimally benefit.
